Fix a course name, project title or date on a supported PDF cover, check spacing and fonts, and review the downloaded copy before submitting.
Check the assignment and keep your source file
You notice a wrong course code on a project cover after exporting it to PDF. If you still have the Word, Google Docs or design file, correct that source and export again: it is usually easier to preserve the layout there. If only the PDF is available, keep an untouched copy before editing. Check the assignment instructions for required wording, page size, filename and accepted file types. Use a fictional example to practice, such as a cover titled Community Garden Study for course BIO-204; do not put student numbers or other personal information into a public sample.
Select the exact wording, not the whole cover
Open your copy in the editor, choose Edit content and select the course code or title. Read the Content field before replacing anything: a visible line may be split into several PDF text runs, or one selection may include nearby words. Replace only the intended run and choose Apply changes. A scanned cover may contain an image of the words rather than editable text; SnippyPDF has no OCR. If the selection is view-only or the result cannot be made accurate, return to the source file or ask for an editable copy.
Check longer titles and missing characters
For example, changing Garden Study to Community Garden Study needs more space. The editor does not automatically reflow the paragraph or move the next line out of the way. Zoom in to check each character, then fit the page to review the title, author line and date together. A detected font name does not guarantee support for every letter or accent. If a suggested replacement font is available, inspect its appearance and width before accepting the change. Use Undo if wording overlaps or a character is missing.
Add a missing line without replacing surrounding text
For a missing date on a blank line, choose Text in an area and select the intended space. Enter the date in the format requested for the assignment, review Size (pt) and the font in the properties panel, then apply it. Added text can be selected again, moved and resized. Leave enough room around labels and page margins. Adding text is a visual edit, not a secure way to remove old information underneath; correct the source instead if you need to eliminate sensitive content.
Download and inspect the submission copy
Save draft preserves a local recovery copy in this browser; it does not submit the project or sync the PDF to another device. Choose Export PDF and Save watermarked PDF to download the public trial copy. It includes Powered by SnippyPDF at the top and bottom of every page; public real payments remain disabled. Check whether your instructor accepts a watermarked document before relying on this download. If the instructions require an unmarked file, use an accepted export workflow rather than assuming the trial meets that requirement.
Open the download outside the editor
Save a distinct filename such as community-garden-review.pdf and open it in a separate PDF reader. Check the corrected title, course code, date, page count, margins and all pages after the cover. Search or select the corrected text where possible, and check print preview if a printed copy is required. Upload that reviewed file through your course submission system and use its confirmation to verify submission; a browser draft or a completed download is not evidence that the instructor received it.
