Correct a name with accents or ñ, check font support and spacing, then reopen the downloaded PDF before sharing it.
Start with the spelling you intend to use
Suppose a fictional workshop list says Lucia Pena, but the organizer confirms that the entry should read Lucía Peña. Keep the original list and work on a copy. Compare the complete name, including accents, spaces, hyphens and both surnames where applicable. Do not guess someone's spelling from pronunciation or change an issued document to misrepresent its contents. Ask the person or document owner when the intended correction is unclear.
Select only the wording that needs correcting
In SnippyPDF, choose Edit content and select the name. A visible name may be split across several PDF text runs, so the selection might cover only part of it. Read the Content field before typing. If it includes neighboring text, do not replace the entire selection with just the name. If the words are part of a scanned image, the editor cannot turn them into editable characters: it does not include OCR.
Enter the accented letters and check the font
Enter Lucía Peña with the accented í and the letter ñ, using your keyboard or pasting the confirmed spelling. A detected font name does not guarantee that the PDF contains those characters. Embedded fonts can contain only a limited subset. If the editor reports an unavailable character or refuses the replacement, do not remove the accent just to make the edit pass. If offered, review a suggested font match and compare its appearance; otherwise correct the source document or request a new copy.
Inspect more than the letters themselves
At a closer zoom, look for a missing accent, an empty square, an unexpected substitute character or an accent hidden by another object. Then zoom out to inspect the line: a replacement font or longer name can change spacing and overlap a nearby label. Undo lets you compare the original with the change. PDF editing does not automatically reflow the surrounding paragraph, and a successful-looking selection is not a check of the whole page.
Download a copy and reopen it
Save draft keeps a recovery copy in this browser; it is not the PDF you send to someone else. Choose Export PDF and Save watermarked PDF to download the public trial copy, which adds Powered by SnippyPDF at the top and bottom of every page. Public real payments are disabled. Reopen that download in a separate PDF reader, inspect the name and surrounding text, and try selecting or searching the corrected wording. Keep the original and reviewed download separately. Confirm that your recipient accepts a watermarked copy before sharing it.
If the name still looks wrong
If the downloaded name is missing a character or does not match the intended spelling, keep the original and return to the source document when available. Adding a new text object over old wording does not securely remove the original name, verify identity or correct the issuer's records. For a document issued by another organization, ask that organization how to obtain a corrected version rather than treating a visual edit as an official correction.
